John Kendall, son of Aaron Kendall and Louvina LNU, born 11 Nov 1878, Bartholomew CO, IN, died 14 June 1963, Bowman Nursing Home, Ormond Beach, Volusia CO, FL, married 09 Feb 1911, Bartholomew CO, IN, Elizabeth Kiefer, dau of Peter Kiefer and Sarah J LNU, born 13 Oct 1883, Hope, Bartholomew CO, IN, died 17 Apr 1979, Bunnell General Hospital, Bunnell, Flagler CO, FL.

The family is listed on page 25 he 1920 census of Flagler County with his occupation given as "Farmer - General."

They resided in the Haw Creek section where he operated a farm and house. They attended the Methodist Church in Bunnell. At the celebration of her 95th birthday, she said "She and her late husband, John Kendall, and their sons Carl and George, sold their hardware store in Indiana and came south to reside in Haw Creek in 1912." Issue;

1. Carl S Kendall, born 12 Apr 1905, IN, died 27 Sep 1968, Veterans Administration Medical Center, Augusta, Richmond CO, GA, buried Richmond CO, GA, married Ruby LNU.

The compiler is not sure that Elizabeth Kiefer was his mother - the 1910 census of Bartholomew CO, IN is not readable and the Indiana Marriage Records show her married as 09 Feb 1911.

2. George Robert Kendall, born 15 Oct 1912, Bartholomew CO, IN, died 27 Mar 1967, Daytona Beach, Volusia CO, FL, married 25 Apr 1932 Mary Elizabeth Ficklin at Bunnell High School Auditorium at the conclusion of her High School Graduation. She was the dau of George Everett Ficklin and Margaret LNU and was born 08 Oct 1914, MD, died 16 Feb 2003 (Div).

He was a farmer and at one time worked for the Leigh Cement Company as a crane operator. Issue;

(1) Robert Dixon (Bobby) Kendall, born 01 Sep 1933, Flagler Hospital, St Augustine, St Johns CO, FL, died 24 Dec 1993, Flagler CO, FL, married 17 Oct 1962, Lotus J. LNU, born Feb 1930 (she was previously married to Thomas Sorges Wilder). Bobby majored in forestry at the University of Florida and served in the U.S. Army. Issue;

A. Robert Dixon Kendall Jr, born 12 Nov 1964, married 30 Jul 1988, Flagler CO, FL (unknown)

George Robert Kendall married 2nd, 1938, Flagler CO, FL, Edna May Barnhill dau of Barney McCoy Barnhill and Orrie Jackson, born 19 Jun 1920, Aiken, Aiken CO, SC, died 01 Feb 1993, Flagler CO, FL. Both buried Espanola Cemetery, Espanola, Flagler CO, FL. Issue;

(2) James Lewis (Jim) Kendall, born 07 Sep 1941, Flagler Hospital, St Augustine, St Johns CO, FL died 06 Jan 2014, MS, buried Espanola Cemetery, Espanola, Flagler CO, FL, married FNU Young, dau of Edward Young. Issue;

NOTE: John’s brother, Grover Cleveland Kendall, born 17 Sep 1884, Columbus, Bartholomew CO, IN, died 23 Feb 1941, Haw Creek, Flagler CO, FL and his wife Hattie C. Pugh, born about 23 Oct 1887, IN, died Oct 1975, Shelby CO, IN (married 18 Nov 1914, Shelby CO, IN) and their sister, Rosa B. Kendall are found on page 25 of the 1920 Flagler CO Census. Grover was buried in Flat Rock, now Shelby CO, IN. Hattie and Rosa returned to IN.
