A nice letter from DEAN HOLLAND who is at North Camp Hood, Texas. Dean says, "I have been assigned to intelligence and operations in the tank destroyers, which means that after I finish my specialty training here I may be sent to any branch of the service for further training. I was lucky to get in with a pretty good bunch of men. Their age will average 32 and all are college graduates, I believe. There were only two out of the 40 that came from Blanding that were assigned

to this battalion. Give my best regard to, all my friends."

Attending were Pvt. and Mrs. Holland and son, Cary, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Cobb, Rosa Maud McDowall, Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Chambers of Bunnell; Mr. and Mrs. Z. G.
