W. J. Tidwell, 76-year-old Flag­ler county resident, died late Wednesday afternoon, May 17, at his home about 10 miles east of Bunnell on the old Kings Road. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

Mr. Tidwell was a native of Georgia, but came to Flagler in 1916 from Ludowici, Georgia, his home town.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Tidwell of Bunnell; three sons, Tom Tidwell of Tifton, Ga.; Harry Tidwell of Daytona Beach; and Pvt. Johnnie Tidwell of the United States Army and now in England. Also two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Eatman of Bunnell and Mrs. Katy LeGrande of Daytona Beach. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the graveside in Espanola Cemetery, with Rev. W. K. McClure in charge. Baggett & McIntosh Funeral home of Daytona Beach are in charge of funeral arrangements.

Pallbearers are: D. D. Moody, Dewey Stuckey, .M. B. Fuller, A. C. Rodgers, Lewis Wadsworth, J. F. Mercer, Omega Durrance and W. H. Wells.
