Funeral services for S. J. Tilton, 52, who died unexpectedly, early Sunday morning at his Flagler Beach residence, were Tuesday morning at 9:30 in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Recreation Hall at San Mateo. Burial was in San Mateo Cemetery. Bishop F. S. Crabtree, Elder James Haines and Elder James R. Boone officiated.

Mr. Tilton was a rancher and lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, and Palatka BPOE.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita, Seville; his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Tilton, San Mateo; two sons. S. J. Tilton, Jr., Bunnell; and Austin Tilton, San Mateo; four brothers, W. W., Rodman, Fla.; W. E., Palatka; J. J. and :B. T., both of San Mateo; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Tucker, Bunnell; Mrs. Virginia Smith, Gainesville; and Mrs. Edith Herrington, Palatka ; and seven grandchildren.

Johnson-Davis Funeral Home Palatka was in charge of arrangements.
