Mrs. Ruth Cody, wife of R. W. Cody of Haw Creek, died early Tuesday afternoon from cerebral hemorrhage in the Florida Sanatorium at Orlando.

Mrs. Cody was 53 years of age. Although she had been ill for about five years, her death came as a shock to the community.

Mrs. Cody was born in Findlay, Ohio, but resided in the Haw Creek community for the past 29 years. She was a member: of Centenary Methodist Church of her home community and until her illness had been active in church affairs.

Funeral services will be held from Centenary Church in Haw Creek at 2 P. M. Friday, with Rev. Herman Murdock of Bunnell Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be made in the Orange City Cemetery Friday afternoon, with Summerville and Allen of DeLand in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, R. W. Cody and one son, Richard Cody of Haw Creek; two sisters, Mrs. P. D. Graham of Orange City, Florida, and Mrs. H. L. Bagby of Russellville, Ky.

Active pallbearers are Raymon Tucker, Lawrence Dahlquist, Harold Bowden, George Kendall, Jack Clegg, and Raymond Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Cantrell, K. K. Knight, H. A. Eisenbach, O. F. Alford, T. E. Holden, Ed Roberts, John Kendall, John Burrell, Harry Clegg, F. M. Townsend, Henry Wells, and Walter Knight.
