Word was received here Tuesday by Mrs. L. B. Bratcher that her brother, Oma Turner, former resident of Bunnell, was dead from injuries received in an auto accident near Pahokee, Florida, Sunday.

According to reports received by Mrs. Bratcher, Turner and two other young men were in the crash, one of the men losing his life instantly, Turner receiving fatal injuries while the third occupant escaped, with minor injuries.

The father of Mrs. Bratcher and the dead man arrived here late Wednesday afternoon. He and Mrs. Bratcher left Wednesday night for Pahokee where the body lies in an undertaking establishment.

Turner had lived at Clewiston for a number of years where he had been employed by a large dredging company.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

Funeral services for O. W. Turner were conducted at the Espanola Cemetery on Friday afternoon at three-thirty, with Rev. J. S. Taylor, pastor of the local Baptist church, in charge.. Mr. Turner died on Tuesday morning at Pahokee from injuries received in an automobile accident on Sunday morning near Pahokee.

He is survived by his father, W.H. Turner of Coffee, Ga., and one sister, Mrs. L. B. Bratcher of Bunnell.

Pallbearers were P. E. Peters, J. F. Mercer, M. B. Fuller and W. J. Medders.
