Gerald Jay Vaughn Hosford, son of H. Harry Hosford and Harriet Marion Estabrooke, was born 09 Jun 1894, San Francisco, San Francisco CO, CA, 03 Nov 1953, Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, Volusia CO, FL, married 27 Mar 1914, Naomi Taylor Brice, dau of John Thomas Brice and Charlotte Estella (Stella) Taylor, born 05 Feb 1896, Waukegan, Lake CO, IL, died 02 Dec 1985, Pinellas CO, FL. Both buried Espanola Cemetery, Espanola, Flagler CO, FL.
Moving from Wauauosa, Milwaukee CO, Wisconsin in 1920 with his wife and their three oldest children, he purchased land in the Bimini section of Flagler County and was farming when enumerated in the 1920 census on page 36 with his occupation given as "Farmer General." The family resided in the hotel in Espanola while he built two tent houses on the farm. They traveled by mule and wagon and bought household supplies in Espanola or St. Johns Park. The family later moved to Orange Hammock, then to Bunnell. They were the parents of six children.

He was a 1955 graduate of P. K. Young High School in Jacksonville and in Nov 1958, had recently completed eight weeks of basic training at Fort Jackson, SC. Phyllis was a 1958 graduate of Bunnell High School and was a retired Flagler CO employee. Issue;

He was a 1963 graduate of Bunnell High School and entered the USAF soon after. He completed basic training in Nov 1963 and was reassigned to Amarillo AFB, TX for technical training as a fuel specialist.
Judy was a member of the General Joseph Eggleston Johnston Chapter #2317, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Bunnell, Flagler CO, FL joining on 28 Aug 1996 with eligibility based on the service record of Morris Blevins, Company F 34th GA Inf Reg. She served as 3rd Vice Commander (1998-2000) and Recording Secretary (1996-1997). Issue;

He served in the U S Army during WW II in North Africa, Sicily, England and participated in the Normandy Invasion, received the Purple Heart in North Africa and spent nine months in a German Prison Camp. He retired from his own business in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie CO Iowa. They resided in Lake Placid, Highlands CO, FL. They had four girls.
