WHITE’S CEMETERY
(Section 5, Township 13, S, Range 31, E)
The Cemetery is on Flagler CO Airport property east of Gore Lake and was inventoried by Bill Morgan
According to Norma Keith Durrance Turner, there were more individuals buried here, however when the land was being cleared for the U.S. Navy Auxiliary field, the workmen only saw two marked graves with a small fence around them and assumed that the two graves were the extent of the cemetery. The other graves were plowed over.
According to the Federal Works Agency, Work Projects Administration of Florida, Veterans' Graves Registration Project (65-1-35-2295), Robert White served as a 1st Lieutenant with Company D, 2nd Regiment, Kansas Cavalry.
