Benjamin Butler Bachelder

Benjamin Butler Bachelder was born 20 Jan 1876 in Maine and his wife Emma Belden was born 14 Nov 1868, Prentis, Penobscot CO, ME and died 04 Mar 1922 in Flagler CO FL She is buried in Kingman, Penobscot CO, ME.

They came to Bunnell before 1913 and are found on page 6 of the 1920 census of Flagler County with his occupation given as "Contractor-Builder" and her occupation given as "Public School Teacher." They came during the rapid growth of the town of Bunnell and built a house here and also owned some acreage south of town. They were mentioned frequently in the Bunnell Home Builder for their expert gardening ability and also for his construction work. She was found on the roster of teachers for the Bunnell School for the term of 1921-22. He was an Organizing/Charter member of Bunnell Lodge #200 F & AM, formerly with Halifax No 81, Fla.

Benjamin Bachelder married second on 20 Feb 1923 at the Bartlett Home, Flagler CO, FL by Judge W Lee Bartlett Martha E (Mattie) (LNU) born about 1874, KS and died 1926 in St Johns CO, FL
