James Andrew Burnsed, son of James M (Burnside) Burnsed, CSA and Georgia Ann Harvey was born 27 June 1866, Macclenny, Baker CO, FL, and died 19 Dec 1932, Holly Hill, Volusia CO, FL. He married 18 Jan 1894 Susan Grace (Susie) Stevens dau of Robert Stevens and Elizabeth Simms, born Jun 1878, FL, died 1949, Volusia CO, FL Both buried Pellicer Creek Cemetery, St Johns CO, FL.
They were listed on page 79 of the 1900 census of St. Johns County, Precinct 7 and also on page 88 of the 1900 census in Precinct 8, Matanzas, with his occupation given as "Farmer." On page 88 his name was incorrectly given as John and his wife was given as Susan on one and Grace on the other.
They resided in the St. Johns Park area of Flagler County. The family is found on page 60 of the 1910 census of St. Johns County, Precinct 7 and on page 37 of the 1920 census of Flagler County, with occupation "Farmer." Their home in St. Johns Park burned and the family moved to Espanola where he died shortly afterwards and the widow moved to Daytona and married a Mr Sizemore. They were the parents of twelve children;

Bernadine was an American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Delegate to Tallahassee in June 1954. Homecoming Queen in 1952 and 1954 and was a cheerleader. Prior to the consolidation of the two local newspapers in Daytona Beach (Daytona Beach Morning Journal and Daytona Beach Evening News, Charles was for three years, stereotype operator and in Mar 1927, held the same position with the News-Journal. Before moving to Daytona, he spend four years in the Navy, spending 2.5 years in the Philippine Islands, China, and Japan and 11 months in Turkey. He was mustered out in San Francisco just before moving to Daytona Beach. Issue;
