Joseph Darlington

Joseph Darlington was born May 1865 in West Virginia, married Elzina Brown, dau of George Alexander Brown and Louisa Rodgers, born 15 May 1869, Nicholas CO, WV, died 05 Mar 1902,Nicholas CO, WV.

Following his wife’s death, he and three of his children (Martha, Gilbert and Cora) moved to now Flagler CO, FL and lived on the Water Oak Road. The family is listed on page 66 of the 1910 census of St. Johns County in precinct 7, Haw Creek section (Later St. Johns Park), as a widower with three children and his occupation given as "Farmer." Issue;

2. Darth J Darlington, born Jun 1889, WV. Not with the family in the 1910 census

3. Martha Darlington born Nov 1891, WV.

4. Gilbert Darlington born 30 Apr 1893, WV, married Ethel Mudway, dau of Harald Mudway, born about 1900, MI. In the 1930 census, both Gilbert’s and Ethel’s fathers are living with them in Milwaukee, Milwaukee CO, WI

5. Cora E. Darlington born Aug 1895, WV.

6. Lola Darlington, born Aug 1895, WV. Not with the family in the 1910 census.

7. Isa E Darlington, born Mar 1899, WV. Not with the family in the 1910 census.
