Karl Williams Lord, son of James Ancil Lord and Ida Grace Williams, was born 30 Apr 1884 Edgerton, Rock CO, WI, died 01 Jul 1956 Bunnell, Flagler CO FL in a truck-train collision, married 21 Mar 1908 Edgerton, Rock CO, WI to Grace Pratt Spaulding, dau of Owen Wright Spaulding and his wife Rachael Eliza Pratt, born 27 Feb 1878, Gills Landing, Waupaca CO, WI, died 09 Dec 1950, St. Augustine, St Johns CO, FL. Both are buried Espanola Cemetery, Espanola, Flagler CO, FL.
They resided in Wisconsin and Virginia before moving to St. Johns County, Florida, then to St. Johns Park in Flagler CO in 1927 where he operated a dairy. They resided in Bimini before moving to Espanola where they also operated a dairy.
He served as County Commissioner from the Espanola District in 1939. He was active in the Flagler County Cattleman's Association, serving as the first secretary and treasurer when it was organized in 1939.
She served as a member of the Flagler CO, FL Board of Instruction (when transportation, consolidation of schools and finance problems were paramount), Board of School Trustees and Flagler Gymnasium Planning Board (Div-1943). Issue;

Celia was a 1858 graduate of Bunnell High School. She graduated summa cum laude from Stetson University in DeLand in 1962 with a bachelors degree in accounting. She had worked as a financial secretary for the Putnam and Flagler County School Boards and for the Flagler County Clerk of Court.
Celia was a member of the College Park Baptist Church in Palatka where she had served as director for the Preschool Department for many years. She had served as a volunteer tutor, manly in reading, at the Browning Pierce Elementary School in East Palatka where she had been recognized as Volunteer of the Year at the school. She was formerly active in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
He was a graduate of St Augustine High School, attended St Johns River Junior College and graduated from the University of Florida with a BS degree in Animal Science. He taught agriculture at Bunnell High School in 1968-1969 and in Nov 1969, he was a vocational agriculture instructor for Palatka, FL High Schools.
In January 1973, he received the "Outstanding Young Educator Award" from the Palatka Jaycees. Issue;

He served overseas in WWII in the South Pacific attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 125th Infantry, 31st Division (Dixie), US Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star during this service.
He was posthumously awarded the WWII Cross of Military Service by the United Daughters of the Confederacy through the General Joseph Eggleson Chapter of Bunnell being eligible for this award as a descendant of a Confederate Veteran who served the U S Armed Forces during time of war.
He was a farmer, a member and director of The Florida Planters, Inc, a grower cooperative, at the time of his death. He is buried at Espanola Cemetery, Espanola, Flagler CO, FL (Div-1946).
Kathryn Lord Holland lived in Miami and at one time was employed as a secretary at Hialeah Park. In WW II she was the chief clerk of the ration board for Flagler CO. Celia retired after working 38 years in the Flagler County Sheriffs Department for five sheriffs - William Henry Wells (41-52), Theodore Kendrick (Buddy) McKnight (52-56), Homer William Brooks(-65), interim sheriff H. C. (Ace) Drummond and Philip Alexander (Zip) Edmonson (65-67). She was a past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Old Kings Highway Chapter.
