They are listed in the 1920 census of Flagler Co on page 19 with his occupation given as "Farmer- Truck Farm," with their son Willie A age 18 and a dau Hazel Jenkins age 27. a widow with her occupation given as "Private Nurse."

The family came to this area in Dec 1911 from California to reside on a farm they had purchased about 3 miles south of Bunnell. Numerous accounts of the family are found in the Bunnell Home Builder. By all accounts they were successful farmers and built a home on the farm.

From old newspapers recounting the early Seventh Day Adventist Church built on Anderson Street in Bunnell in 1917, we find that the W.A. Mack family was one of the leaders of the church and helped with the erection of the building. The Seventh Day Adventist congregation shared their building with the local Baptist congregation until the Baptist moved to a former movie theater on Moody Avenue in the late 1920's. The old Seventh Day Adventist Church building in now (2014) located in the commuity of Espanola north of Bunnell.
