Both buried Pellicer Creek Cemetery, St Johns CO, FL.

He came from Coffee CO, GA with his parents to the Haw Creek area in 1903. The family is listed on page 33 of the 1920 census of Flagler County with his occupation given as "Farmer - General," residing in the St. Johns Park area. They had previously lives in Espanola for several years where he operated a garage and service station on the Dixie Highway before returning to farming in the Bimini area.

Joseph and Mattie were divorced in 1943.,She and the children moved to Bunnell and she later resided in Daytona for several years before returning to Bunnell where she bought a house, built a duplex apartment and remained.

He farmed and raised cattle and hogs and resided in Bimini and St. Johns Park, increasing his acreage and herd of cattle with several children engaged in the operation with him. They were the parents of nine children;

He was survived by his wife of 17 years, Carrie (LNU); three sons, Torrie Green, Bunnell, Juston Porterfield, Sharon, PA, Robert Miller, Dover Plains, NY; and three daughters, Heather Yeno, Bunnell, Jaclyn Miller, Madison, and Pelmy Milow, Hicksville, NY.

Mr. Pellicer received a brain injury when he was struck on the head by a racing horse on 13 Aug 1957. He never regained consciousness after the accident. He received treatment at the Bunnell Clinic and Hospital, he Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, and also a Nursing Home in Orange City before being admitted to the State Hospital for treatment.

Mr. Pellicer was a life long resident of Flagler County and was engaged in the farming industry in the St. Johns Park Section. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Baptist Church Issue;

He came to Flagler County in 1933 from Alabama. He worked for Hooper Construction Company for nine years in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.

He worked for other contractors after WW II. Some of the construction projects he was involved with were Perkins's Highway (SR 11) from Bunnell to Deland; the airport in Lake City and the international airport in Miami; and the railroad line form Teressa to Camp Blanding.

In the early 1960's he created his own drag line business, clearing irrigation ditches for farmers. He sold the drag line equipment when he took the job as county road superintendent for Flagler CO. Issue;

Mose served in the US Air Force in the 1960's and worked for Eastern Air Lines. Joann was a graduate of Bunnell High School and studied business administration at Daytona Beach Junior College. She was employed at Bunnell General Hospital

At 19 years of age (1976) he was named the Chief of Police for the City of Bunnell -- the youngest Chief of Police in the United States at the time. He resigned as Bunnell Chief of Police on 1 Aug 1976 and took a patrolman's position in Flagler Beach.

He later went to work for the Ormond Beach Police Department. Issue;
