William Victor Reynolds


William Victor Reynolds was born around l862 in Missouri and died 23 Aug 1937 in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida. He was married around 1891 to Martha E. Robinson who was born around l866 in Ohio and who died on 19 Jan 1956 in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida. They are buried in Espanola Cemetery

The family moved to the St. Johns Park area from St. Louis, Missouri in 1915. After building their home, he farmed and planted a large pecan grove. They were both very active in the affairs of St. Johns Park and he was chairman of the committee formed to improve the roads in the area because of his prior experience of road work.

They were living in West Palm Beach in 1928 where he was an inspector for the city and moved to Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida in 1937.

They were the parents of two children.

1. William (Bill) Reynolds who was born around 1898 and who was killed in a train accident on a trip back to Missouri on 22 July 1914. He is buried in Espanola Cemetery.

2. Mary Alice Reynolds who was born on 18 May 1900 in St. Louis, St. Charles County, Missouri and who died on 11 Mar 1968 in Bunnell, Flagler County, Florida. She was married on 11 Aug 1920 at St. Johns Park, Flagler County, Florida in the residence of Judge W. L. Bartlett to Isham Lafayette Johnston. He was born on 2 Mar 1888 in Carterville, St. Johns Count, Florida and died on 30 Apr 1959 in Bunnell, Flagler County, Florida. Both buried in Espanola Cemetery.

He was one of the first farmers in the Bimini area and she taught in the local schools.
