MARINE STUDIOS PUBLICITY MAN HAS JOINED NAVY

W. Douglas Burten, president of Marine Studios announced this week that an indefinite leave of absence has been granted MILTON E. BACON, JR., who has served as press and public relations officer of the organization since 1937.

Bacon left his post on April 1 to enter the service with the public relations branch of the United States Naval Reserve.

Bacon, who ranks high among Florida publicity men, is immediate past president of the Florida Public Relations Association and chairman of the Florida State Chamber of Commerce tourist committee.

Through his efforts thousands of feature articles, rotograven pictures and other favorable Florida publicity has appeared in the newspapers and magazines of the country.

R. J. Eastman, for the past two years assistant to Mr. Bacon, will have charge of public relations work during his absence.
