RILEY MALPHURS, located at Drew Field, Tampa, is now a chief telephone and radio operator.

February 25, 1943

Also a letter a few days ago from RILEY MALPHURS with the signal branch of the army at Drew Field, Tampa. Riley said he was recovering from an infected eye. He had been in the hospital a few days. Also, he added, "I wish we could get started across because I can't see that we are doing any good here," adding that, "I really want to get this war over with so us boys can all get back home."

Pvt. RILEY MALPHURS of Drew Field, Tampa, has been enjoying a furlough here with his mother, Mrs. J. V. Malphurs.

March 30, 1944

Mrs. Gladys Morgan and Pvt. RILEY R. MALPHURS of Bunnell were married March 23, 1944 in Franklin, Kentucky.

May 25, 1944

RILEY MALPHURS is spending a few days here visiting with his mother and other relatives.

June 1, 1944

Mrs. Dorothy Scott of Palatka, Pvt. RILEY MALPHURS and Mrs. Malphurs, newlyweds, and Mrs. Jessie McAlexander of Bunnell spent Friday with friends. Pvt. Malphurs is a member of the signal corps at Drew Field at Tampa.

Pvt. RILEY MALPHURS, who has been stationed at McDill Field, Florida, for over two years, has been transferred to Myrtle Beach, S. C.
