Martin B. (Sambo/Bo) McDaniel

December 24, 1942

MARTIN McDANIEL, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. McDaniel, left last week for Jacksonville where was sworn into active service of the U. S. Navy on Monday morning. "Bo" signed up for a six-year "hitch" and expects to go to Washington to enter the navy school of music.

January 7, 1943

MARTIN (SAMBO) McDANIEL who enlisted in the navy several weeks ago and has been in Washington, D.C. is home on a short leave. He expects to leave Monday for Newport, Rhode Island.

January 21, 1943

MARTIN (BO) McDANIEL has returned to Washington, D.C. after spending a ten-day leave here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M.. McDaniel.

February 25, 1943

Flagler County has four veterans of the present war at home now, all of whom are eligible to join the American Legion. They are Brady Wadsworth, Danny Harding, William Deen and MARTIN (SAMBO) McDANIEL.

October 11, 1945
