Dr. J. E. Rose received word here this week that his son, Sgt. RALPH L. ROSE, who is in the Marine corps, has been wounded in action. Extent of the injuries were not learned.
December 24, 1942
Dr. J. E. Rose received a letter this week from his son, RALPH, who was wounded in action during November, stating that he is much improved and expects to recover sufficiently to leave the hospital where he is receiving treatment soon.
February 25, 1943
Sgt. RALPH ROSE, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Rose, is here with his father recuperating from a set-to with the Japs on Guadalcanal some weeks back. He expects to be back in the outfit soon.
October 11, 1945
