Pvt. JOHN TIDWELL, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Tidwell, who live out on the King's Road, is now stationed at Camp Butner, Durham, N. C.

January 7, 1943

JOHNNY TIDWELL has been promoted to corporal. He is still in Atlanta, but his folks were looking for him to arrive here today for a short leave. He hasn’t been home since he joined up a number of months ago.

February 25, 1943

JOHNNIE TIDWELL, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Tidwell has been promoted to corporal and transferred from Atlanta, Ga., to Pomona, California.

June 10, 1943

Tech. Sgt. JOHNNIE TIDWELL, in the army, is here on furlough visiting his parents, Mr. and W. J. Tidwell and other members of his family. He stationed at Pomona, California, and will return to his post in ten days.

October 14, 1943

Sgt. JOHN TIDWELL has been transferred from California to Jackson, Mississippi.

January 27, 1944

Sgt. JOHNNIE TIDWELL, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Tidwell, recently arrived in England, according to a letter received by his mother.

Sgt. JOHNNIE TIDWELL has been wounded in the ETO, according to a list published in the Jacksonville daily papers.
