Ilia Andreevich Tolstoy

Capt. ILIA TOLSTOY, grandson of the famous author, Count Leo Tolstoy, who has been in the U. S. army for some time, wrote a letter recently to D. D. Moody here. The letter was headed "Asia." He said he could not tell Mr. Moody how much he had traveled since leaving Marine Studios here, but “I wished I had you along to measure the distance.” Mr. Moody, you know, is a surveyor.

Do any of you fellows remember ILIA TOLSTOY, part owner of Marine Studios? He went into the army as captain some time ago and was then stationed "somewhere in Asia." He has now been promoted to major, according to press dispatches. He is a grand nephew of the world famous Russian writer, Count Leo Tolstoy.
