AVERLY BLAINE ANDERSON
(31 AUG 1891 – 01 JUN 1967)

 

Thursday, June 8, 1967 - - Averyl Blaine Anderson, 75, 190 Grove St., Ormond Beach, died Sunday at Halifax Hos­pital after a long illness.

A native of Illinois, he moved to Winter Park in 1925 and lived there until 1949 when Mrs. Anderson accepted the position as librarian at Bunnell High School. He resided in Bunnell until 1961 when he and Mrs. Anderson moved to Ormond Beach to reside.

He was district manager for Field Enterprises for over 25 years. He retired in 1957. He was a member of the Ormond Beach Union Church, Delta Theta Phi Fraternity, a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park and the Chatta­nooga Law School, Tennessee.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille R.; two daughters, Mrs. Walter E. Vaughn, Gainesville; and Mrs. Robert Kraxner, Davenport, Iowa; a son, Rex, Canton, Mass.; a brother, H. P., Virginia, Ill.; a sister Rachel Anderson, Tampa and four grandchil­dren.

Services were held Tuesday, June 6 at 4:00 p.m. at Woodward-Lowther Chapel in Ormond Beach, with the Rev. R. Newell, pastor of the Ormond Beach Union Church officiating. The body was sent to Massie's Funeral Home, Virginia, Ill., for final service and burial.
