Mrs. Ethel Jordan Backus, a former resident of Bunnell, died at her home in St. Petersburg Saturday, following an illness of several weeks.

Mrs. Backus was a former resident of Rockford, Illinois, but moved to Florida about ten years ago. She resided here with her family for several months and returned to St. Petersburg about ten years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Backus, and two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Bennett of St. Petersburg and Mrs. Claudia Baxter of Milwaukee. Four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held in St. Petersburg Sunday and interment will be held later in Hampshire, Illinois.
