Jonathan Holmes Baker, 80 a winter resident of Bunnell, died at his former home in Ligonier, Pa., Friday July 15th, following a long illness.

Mr. Baker was a retired steel mill worker of McKeesport, Pa. He has spent the past 12 winters here at his home on Palm Avenue and Pine street.

Mr. Baker’s wife, Mrs. Ida May Baker, died at the home of their daughter in McKeesport on December 15 of last year. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Hinkle of McKeesport and Mrs. W. J. Forsythe of Wilkinsburg, Pa., also a sister Mrs. Ann Doster of California.

Funeral services were held at the Hunter-Edmundson-Striffer Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial was made at the family lot at Versailles cemetery in McKeesport.

Mr. Baker, accompanied by his two daughters, spent several months at home here last winter, returning to McKeesport in early spring. He was confined to a hospital there for several weeks following a major operation, having been removed to his home in Ligonier shortly before his death.
