S. B. Boaz, 51, died Monday morning at his home in Palatka from a sudden heart attack, it was stated here Monday afternoon. Mr. Boaz, who is a well-known barrel manufacturer, had been in ill health for several months.

About 20 years ago Mr. Boaz came to Bunnell from Calhoun, Georgia, and established The Flagler Tribune in February, 1912, he owning and operating the paper for a number of years.

About 15 years ago he moved to Palatka, where he engaged in the produce commission business, organizing the Boaz Barrel Company about eight years ago.

The deceased was a Mason, Elk and Knight of Pythias, a lover of sports and for several years was manager of the Palatka baseball club. He was well-known and well-liked by most of the old time residents of this place.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery with Dr. W. C. Norman conducting the services. He is survived by his widow and one son, Gerhardt, who is a student at Riverside Military School in Gainesville, Georgia.
