Ethel L. Holden, 85, pioneer resident of Bunnell, died Monday morning at the Daytona Community Hospital.

She was born in Bidwell Hills, Pa., and moved to Bunnell in 1913. She was married to the late Tom E. Holden in 1916. For 63 years she was an extremely active member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the Bunnell Palmetto Club, charter member of the Flagler Woman's Club, and past worthy matron of Bunnell Chapter 93, Order of The Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sam Black, Ormond Beach; Mrs. Julian T. Caudill, Elizabethton, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Terry Caudill. Bristol, Tenn.; Tom H. Caudill, Austin, Texas; Carolyn Caudill, Elizabethton, Tenn., Norman Black, Edgewater, Md.; Lee Black, Jane Black, and Ethel Ann Black, all of Ormond Beach.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Bunnell First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery, Ormond Beach. Pallbearers are to be P. A. Edmonson, Shelton Barber, Clifford Higginbotham, M. B. McDaniel, Harold Emery, and Leslie Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are John Rice, Travis Chambers, H. T. Cook, Lee Blakely, Jack Clegg, Ross Anderson, and H. C. Cobb.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ethel Holden Memorial Fund at the First United Methodist Church.
