Jesse M. Bowers, 64, died Sunday night in the East Coast Hospital in St. Augustine after a short illness.
Mr. Bowers came to Bunnell about 26 years ago from Georgia, and up until recently was engaged in the mercantile business here. He was a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services will be held in Empire, Georgia, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the family cemetery there.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene Bowers of Bunnell, and William Bowers of Baxley, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Lee Dupont of Moultrie; Mrs. T. H. Wadsworth of Bunnell; and Mrs. J. E. Wyndham of Charleston, S. C. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
