Joe T. Brannam, Sr., of Cocoa, was killed late, Tuesday afternoon at Allendale, south of Daytona Beach, while working on power lines which had been damaged by Hurricane Donna. He was employed by the Florida Power and Light Co.
   
Mr. Brannam was born in Lyons, Ga., and had been a resident of Florida for the past 28 years. He attended Mainland High School in Daytona Beach where he starred in football. He moved to Cocoa in 1952 as linesman and for several years had been on the service truck for the company there. He also owned and operated a trailer park in Cocoa. He was 40 years old.

He was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was also active in the Masonic Lodge there, holding the office of senior warden.

Mr. Brannam is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alyce Brannam of Cocoa; two sons, Joe, Jr., and John of Cocoa; two daughters, Mrs. Ramona Pridgeon and Mary Brannam of Cocoa; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Brannam of Bunnell; two brothers, Levi L. Brannam and Fred L. Brannam of Bunnell; one sister, Mrs. Mary Manning of Daytona Beach. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in Cocoa Friday.
