Mrs. Jessie Viola Muzyka passed away early Friday morning at the local hospital after an illness of several weeks duration.

She was born in Bradford County, Florida and had resided in Flagler County for the past 46 years. She was 71 years of age.

Mrs. Muzyka was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, and the Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Pearl Blakely, Mrs. Pauline Lovelace, Mrs. Louise Cantrell, Zena Muzyka, Marie Muzyka, Mrs. Margaret Clegg, Mrs. Ann Hunter, all of Bunnell, Mrs.. Betty Hawkins of East Palatka; two sons, Paul Forsythe of East Palatka and C. H. Muzyka of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Jim Bray of Bunnell and Bill Bray of Daytona Beach. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers were her six sons-in-law, Lee Blakely, John Clegg, T. E. Lovelace, Jr., Richard Cantrell, Otis Hunter and Edward Hawkins.

Honorary were: Homer Brooks, H. T. Cook, C. B. Eisenbach, D. D. Moody, Paul Forsythe, Jr., Trad Sizemore, John Canakaris, J. D. McLandy, Kenneth Hunter, and Dewayne Metts.

Funeral services were held at three o’clock Sunday afternoon from the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Thomas Pinner officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Howard Porter of the First Methodist Church. Interment followed at the Espanola Cemetery.
