Henry Harper Bross, 42, Flagler Beach was killed Friday night in a freak automobile accident, when his truck and a car driven by his wife collided head-on.

The accident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday, two and three tenths miles south of Flagler Beach on the John Anderson Hwy.

According to Highway Patrolman, Lavon Donaldson, Bross, driving a Volkswagen truck was traveling south on John Anderson Hwy. and his wife, Mary H. Bross, driving a Ford sedan, was traveling north, when the two cars collided.

The Brosses daughter, Barbara 14, a passenger in her mother's car was also seriously injured.

Mrs. Bross and her daughter were admitted to Bunnell General Hospital where their condition is listed as fair. Mrs. Bross suffered a fractured left leg, fractured right hip and pelvis, multiple cuts and bruises. Barbara sustained multiple cuts and bruises, fractured right leg and possi­ble skull fractures.

Funeral services for Mr. Bross were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 2:00 p. m. at the Community Memorial Church, Flagler Beach. The Rev. R. W. Dickert officiated.

He is survived by his wife Mary; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Purvis, Pensacola; Barbara and Rosemary, Flagler Beach; and three sons, James, Michael, and William, Flagler Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Shuey, Tioga, Pa; Miss Mae Bross, Johnstown, Pa. and one brother, William, Johnstown, Pa.; and two grand children.

Pallbearers were Floyd Collins, William Givens, Murray Keene, John Vandenbergh, George Jarosz and T. J. Miller.
