		  Sammy Buchanan was claimed by  death yesterday in a Dayton, Ky. hospital. He was removed from the ring  unconscious after his knockout Monday night at the hands of Jimmy Neal of  Cincinnati.
		  Physicians believe he suffered  from a stomach hemorrhage but an X-ray examination failed to develop the cause  of his death.
		  The Waycross boxer was only recently  married and his wife was at the bedside when the end, came. Buchanan, who  appeared as a welterweight and junior lightweight, recently had been living  at Latonia, Ky. Buchanan fought in the Jacksonville rings, many times and  always gave his opponents plenty of trouble. Some of his bouts in Jacksonville  were with Kai Kruse, Dick Gore and others. He fought all over the state,  meeting any and all comers.
		  News of Sammy Buchanan's death  came as a big surprise to those in this community who have followed his boxing  career. Sammy’s sister, Miss Mary Louise Buchanan, was visiting her aunt, Mrs.  J. D, Barber; and family here word was received of her brother's death. The  deceased is also related to Rev. J. B. Culpepper, Jr. and family of Bunnell.  Funeral services will be held in Waycross, Georgia, Friday. Mrs. J. D. Barber,  Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Barber, Mrs. S. A. Baker and Mrs. C. G. Varn, relatives of'  the deceased will attend the funeral.
