Cpl. Forrest Edwin Burnsed, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Burnsed of Seville, was killed in action in Korea, September 27, it was announced. His father is a former resident of Bunnell and is a brother of Robert Burnsed of Flagler Beach.

Mr. and Mrs. Burnsed received a letter from a combat buddy of the Marines before receiving official confirmation from the government.

Young Burnsed was graduated from Pierson High School in June 1951. He enlisted in the Marine Corps the following month.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Ellen; two brothers, Lane of Pierson and Ralph, Jr., a seaman in the U. S. Navy; and his parents in Seville.

Funeral from Marine Corp. Forrest E. Burnsed, 19, of Pierson and son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Burnsed, was held yesterday afternoon in Pierson.

A native of Pierson and 1951 graduate of the high school there, Crop. Burnsed enlisted in the Marines in July 1951. He was killed in action in Korea on September 27, 1952.
