John A. Burrell of Haw Creek died suddenly with a heart attack Thursday afternoon in the East Coast Hospital in St. Augustine. He had been a patient there one day.

Mr. Burrell came to Flagler County 45 years ago from Harrisburg, Pa. He engaged in the farming industry until several years ago when he retired. He was a member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Daytona Beach. He was 89 years of age.

Mr. Burrell is survived by one son, Paul Burrell of Bunnell; one grandson, Bobby Burrell and two great-grandchildren of Spokane, Washington; one brother, Frank Burrell of Hastings.

Funeral services were held at the Chapel of Baggett-McIntosh Funeral Home in Daytona Beach Saturday afternoon with Rev. Walter Morris, pastor of his church, officiating. Interment followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Daytona Beach.

Active pallbearers were C. H. Cowart, L. A. Dahlquist, M. R. Tucker, W. E. Knight, Lee Blakely, and George Clegg. Honorary pallbearers were H. P. Bowden, Harry Clegg, John Kendall, W. H. Wells, R. W. Cody, and Frank Steflik.
