Funeral services for Frank L. Byrd, 79, who died in Halifax hospital in Daytona Beach Tuesday afternoon, will be held from his home in Halcyon Hotel this afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. H. B. Murdock, and Rev. Robert Carr, former and present pastors, respectively, of the Methodist Church here, officiating.

Mr. Byrd, who was born in Crescent City but spent most of his boyhood in Georgia, came to Bunnell from Hastings where he was cashier in a bank, 38 years ago. He has owned and operated the Halcyon Hotel for more than 30 years.

Mr. Byrd was active in the political life of Flagler county since he first became a resident, in addition to being mayor of the town a number of times, he represented Flagler county in the lower house of the legislature in 1923, 1925, 1927 and 1933.

He was a member of the local Methodist Church and the Masonic fraternity.

Interment will be made in Espanola Cemetery with Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine in charge.

Surviving are two nephews, Graham Wright, Crawfordville, Ga., and Boykin Wright of Augusta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. N. McIntosh, Bunnell; four nieces, Miss Kate Gresham, Daytona Beach; Mrs. Beulah Frances Lovern, Dothan, Ala., and two nieces in Tampa.

Pallbearers are John C. Rice, J. F. Mercer, M. B. Fuller, G. L. Biddle, Henry Wells and Paul Stanish.
