M. C. Cagle, 59, a longtime reporter for The Flagler Tribune, died last week in the Veterans Hospital at Birmingham, Ala., and he was buried yesterday in Atlanta.

Mr. Cagle’s byline appeared frequently in the pages of The Tribune during the two periods he worked for this newspaper. He spent several months with the Daytona Beach News-Journal Flagler Bureau, writing for those newspapers and the Palm Coast News, it subsidiary weekly.

While working for The Tribune before moving to Cullman, Ala., late last year, Mr. Cagle lived in Flagler Beach with his wife Betty.

In Cullman, Mr. Cagle was managing editor of the Cullman Daily Times.

Mr. Cagle became ill late in December and later was admitted the Veterans Hospital in Birmingham. He left the hospital in January, but returned it February.

Survivors include his widow, Betty; his mother, Maude Cagle of Atlanta, and a sister, Sally Mae Evans.
