Deep regret is felt in Miami, particularly by pioneer residents here and by members of the Trinity Methodist Church, over the death of Mrs. Caroline K. (W. H.) Chaille which occurred at 6:30 o'clock Sunday morning as the result of an attack of acute indigestion. She died at her home, 282 N. E. Twenty-Sixth Street.

Mrs. Chaille was 68 years of age. She came to Miami 21 years ago and since that time has been devoted to Miamains and Miami. She felt great pride over Miami's develop­ment and she expressed her civic pride in many helpful ways. Mrs. Chaille was one of the founders of the Trinity Methodist Church and was actively engaged in church work. “Mother Chaille" is the name which the members of the congregation affectionately gave to her. Mrs. Chaille was also an influential member of Ft. Dallas Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was born at Paducah, Ky., on November 6, 1853, and was married to William Hickman Chaille on April 19, 1871. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year. Mrs. Chaille is survived by Mr. Chaille, two sons - - J. F. and Floyd Chaille, and a daughter, Mrs. R. L. Harper, of Bunnell, Florida.

She is also survived by two sisters and seven grandchildren. The sisters are Mrs. J. K. Bonds and Mrs. M. Burgess of Cincinnati. The grandchildren are: Mrs. G. M. Fahnestock, Mrs. Mark Newman, Halfred, Jack, James and Catherine Chaille, all of Miami, and Warren Chaille of Tenn. Mrs. Newman and Mrs. Fahnestock are daughters of Mrs. Harper.

Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Methodist Church at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning and services at the grave, at the cemetery, will be conducted .by the Order of the Eastern Star - -Miami Metropolis.
