Camel Collier, who lived about five miles out on the Moody road was killed Wednesday morning about nine o’clock, after he and Mr. T. E. Lovelace of Bunnell had has some disturbance over trespassing on Mr. Collier’s land.

The coroner’s inquest was immediately summoned and after the testimony of eyewitnesses, it was found that Mr. Collier had threatened Mr. Lovelace’s life. Mr. Collier had in his possession a large knife, horsewhip, and a double-barrel shotgun and when he made the attempt to use them he was shot by Mr. Lovelace.

The jury returned a verdict of justifiable homicide.
