THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, March 22, 1923

After a lingering illness Mrs. Mary Etta Comstock-Reasor, 88 years of age, passed into the great beyond early Sunday morning at the residence of her son-in-law and only daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Ball, Moody Boulevard, primarily of heart failure.

Grandma Reasor, as she was known to all her acquaintances, was born in Elmira, N. Y. August 5, 1835. She was married in 1857 to Christopher D. Reasor on July 4, 1857, and was the mother of one daughter, Mrs. J. F. Ball of Bunnell, and three sons, J. F. Reasor of this city, Edw. Reasor of Shawnee. Oklahoma and G. B. Reasor of Dennison Texas, all of whom survive her. She has a sister in New Jersey, 83, her only surviving relative other than her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Reasor came to Florida with her son and Mr. and Mrs. Ball in 1917 from Dennison, Texas and has resided here contented and in splendid health up to a few weeks ago. She had numerous friends and all who knew loved and respected her for her many good traits of character.

Short funeral services were held at 3 o'clock at the Ball residence, led by Rev. Partridge of the Methodist church, after which her body was shipped to Dennison, Texas, for interment.

The body was accompanied to Dennison by her grandson-in-law, Mr. Fred Wright. She will be buried beside her husband who preceded her by several years.

The relatives of this most estimable old lady have the deep sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
