THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, January 1, 1931

Mrs. Jennie Kruger, wife of H. Kruger, who reside on Deen Road, died at 11:45 Wednesday morning at the Kruger home. Mrs. Kruger had been an invalid for a period of approximately sixteen years and had been confined to her bed for over 10 years because of rheumatism, complications of which caused her death.

Mrs. Kruger was born in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England, and 62 years ago as Jennie Cook. She was married June 23, 1903 to Mr. Kruger while both of them were residents of Canada. The couple came here in November 1911, seeking a warmer climate because of Mrs. Kruger's health.

The couple had only one child, Mrs. Nina Newson of Baton Rouge, La.

Funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow at one o'clock and burial will be made at Espanola Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Bingham-Maley, of Daytona Beach.

After Mr. and Mrs. Kruger came to Bunnell and before she was forced to stay in bed, Mrs. Kruger was an earnest worker in the Methodist church here, and since becoming totally invalid she remained always cheerful and maintained a sunny disposition.
