THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, April 12, 1923

According to a report in the Times-Union of the 10th inst, the body of a murdered man found on the banks of Cedar Creek near Jacksonvi11e on March 30, has been identified as Mr. E. Corbett by his wife at Bartow from a photograph sent her by a Jacksonville undertaker.

Mr. Corbett was in Bunnell just a few days before he was reported as missing, having only recently purchased the turpentine interest of Strickland & Baker at Neoga near Bmmel1, one of the big operators here, and it was reported that he intended to remove here from his former home in Polk county.

Every effort possible is being made to find the murderers of Mr. Corbett by the authorities of Duval county and it is sincerely hoped the efforts will be crowned with success.

It has been reported in Bunnell that Mr. Corbett's car is missing, and it may be that his assassins can he traced by a search for his car.

The sheriff and his lieutenants of Flagler County are doing all in their power to trace the movements of Mr. Corbett from Bunnell, but so far no light has been thrown upon the matter here.
