Claude Mack Cowart of Bunnell passed away Thursday morning in the Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach after a long illness.

He was born in Dekota, Ga., and had lived here nine years, coming here from St. George, Ga., where he had resided 15 years. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was 53 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beulah H. Cowart of Bunnell; two sons, Jimmy of Hilliard and Jesse of Puerto Rico; four daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Hodges of Hilliard; Mrs. Barbara Chesser, Flagler Beach; Mrs. Betty Lingold, Bunnell; and Mrs. Myrtle Roberts of Ft. Meade; a. sister, Mrs. Cora Jones, Pahokee; a brother, Steven of Bunnell. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at Emaeus Cemetery near St. George, Ga., Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. Lamar Lingold, pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Bunnell, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Russell Stewart of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Jacksonville Beach.
