Charles Ramsey Creal, president of Citizens Bank of Bunnell, died in a Daytona Beach hospital early Friday morning following an illness of about three weeks.

Mr. Creal, who was 61 years of age, moved to Bunnell in 1937 from Buffalo, Ky., and organized the Citizens Bank of Bunnell. He had served as executive vice president and later was president.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Bunnell Post of the American Legion, of which he was a past commander. He was a member of 40 & 8 society, and the First Baptist Church of Bunnell. He was for ten years a member of the Bunnell City Commission.

Funeral services were held at three o’clock Monday afternoon at Haigh and Brooks Chapel, Daytona Beach. Rev. Harvey F. Morrison, pastor of the Baptist Church of South Miami, officiated, assisted by Rev. John M. Dickson, pastor of the local Baptist Church, and Rev. Robert Carr, pastor of Bunnell Methodist Church. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Daytona Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Lily J. Creal, a son, Charles Edward Creal, and one grandson, Robert Ramsey Creal, all of Bunnell. Also surviving are four brothers, Will R., Louisville, Ky.; Carl of San Francisco; Walter of Chicago; and Ramsey of Frankfort, Ky.

Active pallbearers were Harry Clegg, H. T. Cook, John C. Rice, D. D. Moody, Bion Matherly and L. E. Wadsworth. Honorary were O. F. Alford, R. W. Cody, T. E. Holden, W. E. Kudrna, M. B. Fuller, J. F. Mercer, C. O. Magee and H. C. Miller.
