Dave Anthony Deen, Jacksonville businessman and brother of Mrs. Z. G. Holland of Bunnell, died shortly after six o'clock. Tuesday evening in his office on 409 West Duval Street, following a heart attack.

Mr. Deen was a native of Baxley, Ga., but has resided in Jacksonville for the past thirty-seven years. For more than 15 years he traveled throughout Florida for the Peninsula Grocery Company, and has many friends here who will regret to hear of his death.

For the past six years Mr. Deen had been engaged in the printing business in Jacksonville.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Daphne Deen of Jacksonville; five sisters, Mrs. Z. G. Holland of Bunnell; Mrs. Charles Fisher and Mrs. E.W. Palmquist of Miami; Mrs. Ned Beville of Gainesville, and Miss. Carrie Deen of Dallas, Texas. Also three brothers, Tom B. Deen, Jacksonville; George M. Deen, Gainesville; and M. E. Deen of Miami. Mr. Deen was a son of the late Dan Deen of Bunnell.

Funeral services were held at three o'clock this afternoon in the First Bap­tist. Church in Jacksonvi1le with the Rev. H. G. Lindsay officiating. Interment was in the Edgewood Cemetery.
