Robert W. Deen, Sr., retired farmer and cattleman of Flagler County died early last Thursday morning in the local hospital af­ter suffering a heart attack at his home Wednesday night.

Mr. Deen was a native of Baxley, Ga., but had lived here for about 50 years. He was 75 years of age.

He was engaged in the turpentine business for a number of years, but for the past 30 years he had engaged in the cattle business and farming industry. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell, and had served as a member of the Board of Stewards for many years. He was also an active member of The Methodist Men, and a member of Bunnell Masonic Lodge No. 200.

Mr. Deen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Deen of Bunnell; one daughter, Mrs. Donnella Chastain, Macclenny; one son, Robert W. Deen, Jr., Bunnell; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Taylor of Baxley, Ga., and Mrs. Kate Waters of Waycross, Ga.; one brother, W. H. Deen, Bunnell. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Caldeen Chastain, Macclenny; Mrs. Pat Cowart and Miss Sondra Deen, Bunnell. Also one great-grandchild, Charles Cowart, Jr.

Funeral services were held from the First Methodist Church at 2:30 Saturday afternoon with Rev. L. E. Watkins, pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. E. W. Ware, pastor of the First Baptist Church.

Garcia Funeral Home of St: Augustine was in charge of arrangements. .
