Frank C. Dickman, 48, retired U. S. Army Captain, died at his home in Flagler Beach Wednesday morning at 5:30 after a week in bed suffering with a heart condition.

Capt. Dickman had been a resident of Flagler Beach for 3 years, but was a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

He had served nearly 33 years in the U. S. Army and was retired because of ill health.

Funeral service will be held from the Community Baptist Flagler Beach Saturday afternoon at 4:30, with Rev. Jim Lee, pastor of the church, officiating. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery with military rites being conducted by Flagler Post 115 of The American Legion.

He is survived only by his wife, Mrs. Jane W. Dickman.

Active Pallbearers are W. H. Chimpky, Harry Whetstone, Willard Blankenship, E. J. Buteux, Baldwin Raiford and Joseph Eberhardinger,

Honorary Pallbearers are M. B. Fuller, J. N. McIntosh, George E. Wickline, Howard Wisehaupt, S. L. Nickell and C. Blankenship.

FLAGLER BEACH NEWS - - Frank C. Dickman passed away at his home here on Ocean Shore Boulevard at 5:30 Wednesday morning, July 6. He had been confined, to his home, due to a heart condition for the past week. Dickman was a retired soldier of the U. S. Army, having retired due to ill health after 32 years and 9 months service. He was born in Scranton, Pa. in 1891. Mr. Dickman and his wife had made their home in Flagler Beach for nearly three years. He is survived only by his wife, Mrs. Jane Dickman. Funeral services will be held from the Community Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 4:30, with Rev. Jim Lee officiating. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery with Flagler Post 115, The American Legion conducting graveside military honors.
