J. T. Dixson, a resident of Bunnell since 1923, died last Saturday at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Williams at Carnesville, Georgia.

Mr. Dixson’s death followed nine days after that of his wife, she having passed away on Thursday, August 6th at the home of another daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hodges at Bogart, Georgia.

Mr. Dixson would have been 83 years old the 25th of this month and Mrs. Dixson was 75 years old. Both were buried at Hunter’s Creek Cemetery in Franklin County, Georgia.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C. C. Hodges of Bogart, Ga.; Mrs. W. W. Williams of Carnesville, Ga.: Mrs. W. J. Ward of Rayswood, Ga. Also one son, D. A. Dixson of Carnesville, Ga. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Several weeks ago Mrs. Dixson became seriously ill here and she was carried to a hospital near the former home in Georgia. She was discharged from the hospital shortly and was apparently recuperating when death occurred. Mr. Dixson died shortly after he suffered a paralytic stroke.
