Clarence W. Duncan of Flagler Beach passed away Wednesday night, June 26, at the Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach following a brief illness. Mr. Duncan had been serving as building inspector of Flagler Beach for the past few months. He was 65 years of age.

He was a native of Pinewood, Tenn. He had resided in Flag­ler Beach for the past 11 years, coming there from Daytona Beach where he had resided for two years. He was a retired interior decorator, and a. veteran of World War I. A member of the Masons, V. F. W., and the Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Lois, of Flagler Beach; a daughter, Mrs. R. A. Casteman, Jr., Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, Thomas of Flagler Beach; Joe F. of Nashville, and C. Russell of San Diego, Calif.; five sisters, Miss Minnie Duncan, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. T. L. Sanford, Sr., Nashville; Mrs. Pearl Hendershot, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. Fred Bowling, Nashville; Mrs. Charles Whittington of Atlanta, Ga. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Craig Chapel with Rev. Atlee Stevens of the First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach officiating.

The body was forwarded to Phillips-Robinson in Nashville. Graveside services were conducted Monday morning at 11 0" clock in the National Cemetery.
