Mrs. Annie Holmes of St. Ste­phens, South Carolina, a former resident of Flagler Beach, died at her home in St. Stephens on September 5, according to information received here this week from her brother, E. P. Eagerton of Orlando.

Mrs. Holmes resided at Flagler Beach during the early days of its development. She owned a home on the Ocean Shore Boulevard one block south of the pier where she operated a boarding house. She and a former husband also at one time owned the property north of Flagler Beach known as the Cochran subdivision.

Mrs. Holmes was 79 years of age and had been ill for the past eight months.

Funeral services and burial were held on September 6th at the family burial plot at her home. Survivors include one sister and three brothers, one of whom is E. P. Eagerton of Orlando who is a former resident of Bunnell.
