Former County Judge of Flagler H. A. Eisenbach died suddenly in a Daytona Beach hospital Thursday after being stricken in his office about noon with a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Eisenbach, 54 years of age, was a native of Indiana, but resided in Flagler County for approximately 30 years. He was county judge here for 14 years, a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of several Masonic bodies.

He was engaged in the wholesale gasoline and oil business, holding franchises for all Flagler County and the east half of Volusia county for one of the major oil companies.

He moved his residence to Daytona Beach last year, after resigning as county judge although his term would have not expired until January 1949.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Neva Eisenbach, of Daytona Beach; one son, C. B. Eisenbach and one daughter, Miss Mardell Eisenbach of Bunnell; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Eisenbach of Lafayette, Indiana; three sisters, Eleanor and Alice Eisenbach of Lafayette, Ind. and Dorothy Eisenbach of Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church here Wednesday, with Rev. Lee Nichols, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, assisted by Rev. J. M. Dickson, pastor of the Bunnell church, officiating.

Burial was made in Hope Cemetery with Baggett, Wetherby & McIntosh of Daytona Beach in charge of the arrangements. Committal service at the grave was made by the Masonic order with representatives of the various bodies participating.

Pallbearers were Harry Clegg, Henry Wells, Bion Matherly, C. E. Richard, Robert Flippo and J. M. Strickland.

A large gathering of friends and lodge associates gathered in Hope Cemetery Sunday to pay homage to one of Flagler County's best known former citizens, H. A. Eisenbach, for a number of years county judge. Mounds of flowers came from his many friends.

The Masonic order officiated at the graveside with impressive ceremony. Led by Bunnell Lodge No. 200, F. & A. M. and attended by C. M. Class, S. S. Acting; Howard Pellevue, S. S. Acting; L. L. Cobb, Dean Holland, Sec.; J. F. Mercer, treasurer; G. T. Hosford, S. W.; G. L. Biddle, J.W., Acting; Hazen Benson, Chaplain; George Moody, carrying Great Lights; G. Hawkins, W.M. Acting; J. I. Sheffield, S. D.; P. H. Beach, J. D.

Other lodges represented were Daytona Beach Commandery, Council, and Chapter; Daytona Beach 8hrine Club; Daytona Beach Lodge No. 270 F. & A. M., and Halifax Blue Lodge No. 81.
