THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, April 23, 1925

In a communication to The Tribune yesterday, it was learned that G. E. Ficklin, former resident or Bunnell, now residing at Paducah, Ky., suffered the loss of his small son by death on Thursday, April 16.

According to the Paducah Evening Sun of Friday, April 17, "George E. Ficklin, Jr., 9-year-old .son of Mr. and. Mrs. George E. Ficklin of Mill Street, died yesterday in the home of his parents, after an illness of rheumatism and heart trouble. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Mary Ficklin. Funeral services were held this afternoon with burial in Symsonai cemetery.”

Before his death the boy had suffered about three months with rheumatism which, settled in the heart, causing death. The dead boy had a host of friends here, he having attended public school at this place for some time before his parents removed to Kentucky.

The Ficklin family was well known throughout the county and their many friends here extend their heart-felt sympathy in their great loss.
